Baldessari Sighting : MoMA New York

This isn’t the best photo, but see that super tall, white-haired dude in the crowd?  John Baldessari.  Yep, saw him at the last day of the Matisse exhibit at the MOMA in NY.  The show was amazing as was the Abstract Expressionism show that is also going on there currently.  Here’s a few pics from that, as well as a few from the mini Pop Art exhibit in the adjoining room.

I’ve been working on some paintings that deal with coveted objects and conspicuous luxury.  I’m also, aesthetically, getting interested in neo-mysticism.  So there you go.  I’m not sure where this is going yet in the “bigger picture” sense, but here are 2 small pieces I finished this week.
