MIA – Summer Trips

Friday, July 16th, 2010

Well, I’ve been missing in action on the blog for a while.  Summer is here and I’ve been lucky enough to have had 3 great camping trips so far…Big Sur, and two trips up to the Sierras (Mammoth Lakes and Edison Lake).  Here are a few pics from the Sierra trips:

LA River Adventure

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010

Went on a little bikeride down the LA river from Los Feliz to Downtown with my buddy Greg.  It’s really a pretty trip.  There are rumors that the city is going to pull up some of the concrete and put in some parks and restaurants…do some revitalization to the area.  That would be pretty cool.

Big Sur

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010

I had a nice Big Sur camping trip 2 weeks ago with some good buds.  Here are a few pics from what has to be one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Just set up this cruiser board (with art by geoff mcfetridge) the other day.  Thanks to NHS for the Indy’s and Rictas.  Taking it with me this weekend up to the Sierras.  After hiking and camping, gonna skate this ditch.

Coachella 2009

Monday, April 20th, 2009

This weekend was pretty nice.  Got to hang with a bunch of good friends and did some amazing people watching.  Here are a few photos from the Coachella Music Festival, as well as the party at the Anthem Magazine Ranch.  This year started out not quite as hot as years past, however, by Sunday it was in the low 100′s and was crazy hot.  I only had tickets for Sunday, so I got a chance to catch a bit of Sebastien Tellier, Busy P, Lykke Li, Peter Bjorn & John, Antony & the Johnsons (who ended 15 minutes early so I missed most of it), Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Public Enemy (who played the whole Nation of Millions album…insane), My Blood Valentine (aka the loudest band in the world) and the Cure.  The Anthem party was pretty much madness.
