Design : Children’s Play Sculpture Czechoslavakia 1960′s

December 12th, 2011

It’s a shame America’s playgrounds are filled with cookie-cutter, “safety plastic” McJunglegyms.  I can’t help but feel that our children’s creativity would be sparked to a much higher degree climbing and sliding on these amorphous, play sculptures from the Eastern Block.  Their shapes remind me of a Miró painting or a Saul Bass illustration.  Hey playground architects, please take notice.
