I made my way out to the valley this morning to do the press check for the serigraph poster show I’m curating. The show is going to be on JULY 25th, 2009 at Barracuda in Hollywood (7769 Melrose Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90046). Guest artists include: Cleon Peterson, Mark Whalen (Kill Pixie), Megan Whitmarsh, Nathaniel Russell, Albert Reyes, Deedee Cheriel, Jared Purrington, and myself. The prints are 15″ x 22″ on 100% cotton paper (Stonehenge 250gsm). The edition is very small (approx. 30 per artist for sale), and there will be an extremely limited number of artist proofs hand customized by each artist also available. The prices are going to be very affordable, so come out and add to that art collection. I will post the invite for the show shortly.
Carlos has been working with fine art serigraphy for over 13 years. Making it happen.
Some friends of mine are working with this group, The Voice Project, in an effort to reunite families in Northern Uganda after 21 years of civil war. They asked me to do a shirt for them, which should be available soon on their website.
Is it true that Charlie Sheen is the highest paid tv actor? My friend watches a lot of bad tv and she loves his show, which I can’t even watch. It looks like a bad 1980′s sitcom that’s running in syndication or something. Terrible.
I used to ride bmx when I was a kid. I had a Redline; my friends had Racing Inc’s and PK Rippers. I had fun, but I wasn’t very good. It was very reminiscent of the movie E.T. Anyway, in this video clip Danny MacAskill completely destroys the streets of Edinburgh.
Just printed up a sample of this shirt over the weekend. Gonna print a few for the hommies. It will be available shortly and I’ll add a store to the website so you can buy one. You don’t have to have a beard to buy one, but then you’d be a poseur.
