I just finished a new painting. Acrylic and ink on 22″x30″ Arches Watercolor Paper. The title of my latest mixtape was taken from the concept of this painting. It’s a concept that has affected my life for as long as I can remember. I think it is a dilemma that is common to the human experience – you’re not content where you are, but you don’t want to loose what you have. What do you do? Hopefully you figure out where you want to be, do the research on how to get there and start making moves. Is contentment even really desirable? Wouldn’t life be pretty boring if you didn’t have anything left to strive for. Well, anyway, I really like how the geometric pattern came out on this. It’s a bitch to paint straight lines, but the finished product is rewarding.
