Due to popular demand I’m releasing a new version of the Business/Personal print this week with Poster Child Prints. This version is hand screened on black archival paper, and comes in a limited edition of only 90 prints.

May 9th, 2012Entertainment/Education : The Moth Storytelling Series (Episode 404 with Aimee Mullins)
January 23rd, 2012One of my favorite things about the internets is the rise of edutainment podcasts. This American Life, RadioLab, TED, 99% Invisible, and of course The Moth. This Moth episode with double amputee Aimee Mullins is amazing. She chronicles her struggles and triumphs as a pioneer in the world of prosthetic legs – including becoming the fastest woman in the world as well as a muse for Alexander McQueen. Truely inspiring, educational and very entertaining.
Music : Synesthesia Vol.I & II
January 15th, 2012I just posted up two new 80 minute DJ mixtapes. Most of the tracks are 90′s trip-hop, like Massive Attack, Portishead, Air, DJ Shadow, Unkle, Dr. Octagon, Del, Automator, etc… I’d been wanting to make a mix with this type of music for a long time, and I finally did, so hope you enjoy!

Design : Children’s Play Sculpture Czechoslavakia 1960′s
December 12th, 2011It’s a shame America’s playgrounds are filled with cookie-cutter, “safety plastic” McJunglegyms. I can’t help but feel that our children’s creativity would be sparked to a much higher degree climbing and sliding on these amorphous, play sculptures from the Eastern Block. Their shapes remind me of a Miró painting or a Saul Bass illustration. Hey playground architects, please take notice.
Musings on #OWS
November 2nd, 2011On the back of the dollar bill there is a pyramid, which when you think about it is a very fitting symbol to have there. In ancient Egypt, the pharaohs were buried inside of pyramids (and later deep, underground chambers) with vast quantities of wealth…not to mention the huge amount of money, labor and resources that went into the construction and decoration of these tombs. And, for all intents and purposes, it was all locked up forever. Forever the property of the pharaoh. Forever the property of the elite. Forever the property of the powerful. Just like today.
Strangeness : Google’s Reverse Image Search
October 31st, 2011I was trying to find out who this artist was whose work I had photographed at the MOMA in NY. I thought it was either Hans Arp, or possibly Juan Miró. So I dropped the pics I had taken into Google’s reverse image lookup, and although I was unable to find what I was looking for, I did get some interesting results:
